The Cherry Blossom Kite & Piñata Festival is a celebration of spring and culture highlighting Springfield’s sister city relationships with Isesaki, Japan and Tlaquepaque, Mexico. Kite flying and piñata breaking are main attractions along with other family-friendly activities.
The event is held outside the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center located within the extraordinary Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave., Springfield, Mo.
Vendor and artist space is limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to those who represent either Japanese or Mexican culture. Vendors are required to provide a City of Springfield business license, carry insurance, and are responsible for collecting and paying sales tax and reporting to the IRS.
A 10’x10’ tent, one table, and two chairs can be provided if needed.
