It was a special night for the 2025 Taste of Tlaquepaque when musicians with Tierra Mojada visited Springfield for a final reunion with longtime friends from The M-Dock Band, which is winding down its 30-plus years together this fall.

Beyond the Oct. 10 main event, however, the musicians and guests from Tlaquepaque made the most of their week in Springfield. Tierra Mojada performed at four Springfield public schools. The guests visited local attractions, did plenty of shopping, had lake time in Kimberling City, spent time with generous host families and caught up with friendships developed over the 22-year sister-city relationship
