Friends of the Garden presents a Valentine’s Day-themed Romance in the Garden event on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden located within the Springfield Botanical Gardens, 2400 S. Scenic Ave., Springfield, Mo.
Admission is $8 per person. Buy two, get one free; third wheels and friend groups welcome! Members of Friends of the Garden receive a $2 discount on their total purchase.
Romance in the Garden makes a great addition to any Valentine’s Day plans. Take a stroll through the serene garden decorated with ambient lights and with romantic music playing softly in the background. Beverages and light snacks available for purchase.
Event proceeds benefit the maintenance and enhancement of the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden.
Formed in 1985, the 7.5-acre Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden is the oldest attraction at the Springfield Botanical Gardens. It is an authentic representation of traditional Japanese landscape design featuring a large koi pond, moon bridge, meditation garden and tea house. The Stroll Garden is maintained through partnership with Springfield Sister Cities Association and Springfield’s sister city of Isesaki, Japan.
