One of our most popular annual events, Taste of Tlaquepaque, sold out in July this year. We are extremely grateful to our valued sponsors and loyal volunteers who made it possible. The event is a celebration of our sister city relationship with Tlaquepaque, Mexico.
This year’s event, A Night at the Cantina, embodies our 2018 theme, “Music brings us together.” Our world-renowned musical friends from Tlaquepaque are visiting to provide nonstop entertainment in collaboration with several Springfield bands: MDock, The Creek Rocks, The Shandies, Uke 66, and Marimba Caliente.
A Night at the Cantina is also the premiere event featuring alcohol service on Springfield-Greene County Park Board property. The event takes place under a beautiful tent complete with outdoor heat lamps on the lawn of the Springfield Lake Boathouse. Rain or shine; please keep the weather in mind as you dress for a festive, outdoor celebration.
Attendees can look forward to authentic food by Tortillaria Perches, plenty of dancing, and lounging by the fire pits.
