Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden
Please join us and our friends from Isesaki for a tree planting ceremony and dedication of the 30th anniversary of the relationship between Isesaki and Springfield on Saturday, October 28 at 10am in the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden. Nearly 20 Isesaki delegates including city officials, gardeners, and citizens will be in Springfield for the event beginning Wednesday, October 25 through Monday, October 30.
Isesaki city officials will visit with Springfield’s city council and will tour facilities of Springfield Public Schools and Missouri State University. Isesaki gardeners will work with Friends of the Garden and Springfield-Greene County Park Board. Isesaki citizens will be treated to home stays with Springfield citizens.
Their visit is in response to the Springfield delegation which visited Isesaki in 2016 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our sister city relationship. The Springfield delegation consisted of Springfield city officials, gardeners, and citizens. Below are a few photos from the trip.
