Beatles Sing-Along | Wednesday, February 7
From 6:30pm-8pm at Lindberg’s Tavern, sing along to your favorite Beatles tunes accompanied by a rowdy band of Springfield Community Ukulele Players! A cover charge of $5 benefits our traveling musicians fund. To view or print the flyer, please click here.

Arts Council Trip to Tlaquepaque | Monday-Saturday, February 12-17
This trip is already at maximum capacity, but please click here to contact us if you’re interested in making the trip in 2019. Travelers will enjoy all the perks of the earlier Citizens Trip with a heavy focus on the arts – particularly through visits to Tlaquepaque’s famous “En Art” expo.

Annual Celebration | Friday, March 23
Join us as we celebrate our members and the success of 2017 and look toward an exciting 2018. Admission is free to members or you may join at the door. Cherry Blossom Kite and Piñata Festival | Saturday, April 7
Bring the whole family to enjoy a day on the Botanical Center’s Great Lawn. Enjoy free authentic Japanese and Mexican activities and performances and free admission to the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden. Bring your own kite or purchase a kite kit to build and decorate for $5. Please click here for more information.

Isesaki Student Trip to Springfield | End of May-Early June
Large groups of students from Isesaki visit Springfield each year. The students spend their evenings in accommodations at Missouri State University, but Springfield citizens are needed to host daytime activities. Please click here if you’re interested in showing a student or two around Springfield.

Summer Concert Series | Sundays in June
We look forward to supplying you with more information about this exciting new program. Enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon or evening listening to free live music at our newly erected Peace Through People Pavilion at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park.

Isesaki Student Trip to Springfield | August
Large groups of students from Isesaki visit Springfield each year. The students spend their evenings in accommodations at Missouri State University, but Springfield citizens are needed to host daytime activities. The Creek Rocks performs in Isesaki | Second Week of August
Every year we send a Springfield performance group to entertain at various events in Isesaki including Isesaki’s Summer Festival. Japanese Fall Festival | Friday-Sunday, September 7-9
Thousands of people join us every year as we celebrate Japanese culture in the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden. Enjoy authentic activities and performances in a beautiful setting. Springfield host families are needed to provide friendship and accommodation to the visiting artists from Isesaki, and volunteers are needed to assist with tasks throughout the event. Taste of Tlaquepaque | Friday, October 12
Back again by popular demand, this lively event celebrates Mexican culture and cuisine. Enjoy live music straight from Tlaquepaque and delicious, authentic food.
